Mission

Why this site exists

Buying solar is confusing and expensive, and the industry is full of inflated claims, opaque pricing and sales pressure. We built Solar Price List to be one trustworthy, independent source for three things: what solar gear actually costs, how big a system you need, and which incentives you can claim.

Method

How the price lists work

  1. Dated pricesEach listing’s price, rating, stock status and specs are read from its Amazon product page. Every price on the site shows the date it was read.
  2. Clean listsBundles, accessories and listings without a stated capacity are kept out, so every row is a product you can compare.
  3. Value metricPrice ÷ capacity: watts for panels and inverters, watt-hours for power stations, kilowatt-hours for batteries, amps for charge controllers.
  4. Best valueOnly in-stock listings rated 4★ or higher with 100+ reviews. Listings priced under 30% of their type’s median are flagged and never ranked first.

Verified dataCost figures, incentive amounts and program details come from official government sources, utility websites and public program documents, not manufacturer marketing.
In depthEvery guide covers its topic in enough depth (1,200 words or more) to answer the questions a homeowner faces when making a purchase decision.
No paid placementsWe do not accept payment from installers, manufacturers or financing companies for favorable coverage or rankings.
Kept currentIncentive programs change often. We review and update state guides, cost data and product comparisons on an ongoing basis.
